Your time is here to connect with nature, rejuvenate your body and soul, expand your yoga practise, and above all, watch rescued orangutans roam freely on specially designed sanctuary islands. Every workshop, meal and activity is carefully curated to give you an unforgettable experience.
Almost 80% of orangutan habitat has disappeared in the last 20 years, currently we are losing over 6,000 orangutans a year.
Through BOS UK, you have the unique opportunity to help protect and preserve a vulnerable species, while enjoying the benefits of yoga and meditation where proceeds from the trip costs go directly to The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation.

Samboja Lodge

Ideally situated in the heart of 1,800ha of secondary rainforest, our Samboja Lodge is a beautifully designed and sustainable lodge, decorated with traditional artisanal handicraft produced by local and Dayak communities around the area.
Each room has its own en-suite bathroom and access to the balcony with an incredible view of the lush rainforest that surrounds the lodge. There are communal deck areas, with one high above the canopy from which you can enjoy the solitude, peace and sound of the forest. Standard rate is based on twin occupancy, however upgrades to Queen or King Suite are available and strongly recommended.

Yoga & meditation

Our specially chosen and skilled yoga teacher from Bali will take you through a Vinyasa inspired morning yoga class to start your day off just right, while the evening restorative session will slowly wind your body down as the sun sets. This retreat is open to ALL LEVELS. Most yoga offered will be considered intermediate, with both modifications for beginners and challenges for more experienced practitioners provided. Let us know in advance if you have any queries.

Say Hello to your yoga teacher

Your yoga experience will be taught by the wonderful Kate Parrott from The Space Between Healing. Kate specialises in teaching Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation and Reiki. Her holistic, therapeutic approach forms the base of her yoga teaching and practice. You will find her teaching combines ancient Eastern philosophies with a contemporary, practical approach towards safe, functional alignment.
